bud8andbills Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 Well, if Marv gets a second and a fifth, and then trades Spikes, he can move around early in the draft for my mock draft: 1A TE Greg Olsen Miami 6’6 254 4.51-40 225-23X Vert 37 ½ 1B CB Chris Houston Arkansas 5’10 185 4.32-40 225-27X 36 2 RB Antonio Pittman Ohio State 5’11 207 4.40-40 225-16X 35 ½ 3 OLB Tim Shaw Penn State 6’2 236 4.51-40 225-26X 36 ½ 4 DT Paul Soliai Utah 6’4 344 5.10-40 225-45X 29 ½ 5 FB Corey Anderson Tennessee 6’2 247 4.70-40 225-19X 37 6 QB Chris Leak Florida 6’0 209 4.74-40 ? 32 ½ 7 WR Legedu Naanee Boise State 6’2 225 4.41-40 225-19X 40
billsfaningeneseo Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 Major problem with that draft, assuming that we don't pick up anyone else in FA. I would much rather take a LB with our first pick than a Tight End, considering that with Spikes gone we have Crowell, Ellison, and ??
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 Please, not another one from the U Actually with Marv in charge, I'd be shocked if we take anyone from the U!

Then the rook plays a lil and learns.

Heard anything bad about this guys character? I'd venture to say Walker is the RT and that will allow them to have a good receiving like Greg as an outlet for JP.
BuffaloBilliever Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 That's a very poor mock... I'm sorry dude.
bud8andbills Posted March 8, 2007 Author Posted March 8, 2007 That's a very poor mock... I'm sorry dude. Well I can take criticism. Thanks for responding. I think everyone of those players can contribute in more than one way. Take for instance Soliai 6'4 344 225-45X Wham. First downs and goal lines. He is not just a piece of meat in the middle. And a lower pick will save us some money for what he brings. If not I know a few San Diego fans that want him. That defense does not need him. We do.
Astrobot Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 No, I like Soliai at the one gap. He has the size and speed in there. Like Houston a lot at CB. He or Revis. Also like your OLB pick. Tim Shaw, speedy guy for Penn State frequently outran Puz. Cory Anderson will go in RD#3 or 4 as the best FB on the board, and would be a good replacement for Shelton.
apuszczalowski Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 First off, no way is a TE the Bills first pick in this draft, unlike the fans, Marv and Dick like what they see in Royal and have said he should be more in the gameplan now that the o-lines better and he doesn't have to block all the time. Cieslak is a young player who has shown signs of being good. Theres no way they waste the first pick on a TE
BoondckCL Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 Well, if Marv gets a second and a fifth, and then trades Spikes, he can move around early in the draft for my mock draft:1A TE Greg Olsen Miami 6’6 254 4.51-40 225-23X Vert 37 ½ 1B CB Chris Houston Arkansas 5’10 185 4.32-40 225-27X 36 2 RB Antonio Pittman Ohio State 5’11 207 4.40-40 225-16X 35 ½ 3 OLB Tim Shaw Penn State 6’2 236 4.51-40 225-26X 36 ½ 4 DT Paul Soliai Utah 6’4 344 5.10-40 225-45X 29 ½ 5 FB Corey Anderson Tennessee 6’2 247 4.70-40 225-19X 37 6 QB Chris Leak Florida 6’0 209 4.74-40 ? 32 ½ 7 WR Legedu Naanee Boise State 6’2 225 4.41-40 225-19X 40 I like the pick of Olsen, but not that high and certainly not the first guy we take off the board. Also, Pittman looked shabby in a couple games this season, and i was not impressed with his performance in the National Championship game. I don't think it helped that Troy Smith didn't even bother to make the trip, but his performance was disappointing. I think you have to look at CB, LB, or DT in round one, sub Irons for Pittman in the second round, and scratch Chris Leak in the 6th. If at all possible, the Bills should try to get some help at Wide Receiver in the third, fourth, or fifth round.

The Tomcat Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 I don't like it either, however, if we were going to take Olsen in rd 1 then I would see a trade down and another 3rd in there somewhere.....
