stuckincincy Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 Perhaps if you get to know him better... ..."Porter's actions off the field have caused trouble. He was fined $10,000 by the NFL last season after he referred to Cleveland tight end Kellen Winslow by using a derogatory term for homosexuals. Earlier in the season, he was fined $15,000 for inappropriate remarks to an official in Oakland. Last September, his pit bull and mastiff dogs escaped his property in Richland Township, Pa., and killed a miniature horse nearby. During 2004, Porter was ejected before a game in Cleveland when he punched Browns running back William Green in the mouth during warmups. In 2003, he was shot in the buttocks and thigh in Denver, causing him to miss the first two games of the season. At one of the games Porter missed, he reportedly confronted Baltimore linebacker Ray Lewis in the parking lot."... http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/art...0354/1067/SPT02

Tipster19 Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 Nice post stuckincincy. I hope that this helps remind people of the team that Marv is constructing. The best addition we made was putting Marv in charge. Go Bills!

FightClub Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 This is an absolutely perfect description for the average Dolfelons player. I was actually worried that the Cameron hire was a good one and the culture there would change to a winning one but I see that to not be the case with the signing of this old, under-performing player.
Mike formerly from Florida Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 Sounds like the high character guy marv and company are looking for. I'm sure he'll get along with the "people" on South Beach.
34-78-83 Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 Many of my Steeler fan friends said they didn't want to see him go , but also agreed that he was a big PITA and more of a passing down specialist now and certainly not worth the $ he received from Miami. They say that he's unblockable when he's really Po'd, but takes plays off too.

Will fit right in and find plenty of others that like to play rough off the field.
