Koufax Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 I foresee a lot of posts in '07 of us fretting about McGee getting burned in games. I pray our CB situation will be Ok. Okay. Let's all calm down a notch. McGee will not cover Moss. Last I checked the Pats were not five deep with scary receivers. Right now it would be Youboty covering Moss, and regardless of Moss we are probably going to upgrade our primary CB. This move will make the Pats better in 2007 if it happens, no question about that (Randy will drink the cool-aid), but will likely make them worse in 2008 and definitely worse beyond that.
Bill from NYC Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 Linc Hayes Name? Hayes First Name? LINC-ON!!!!!!!!!!
West Hollywood Donahoe Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 I'll be awaiting confirmation, though. Not too terribly much to give up. Unless relinquishing our souls is considered terribly much. You're probably right, we're not really the kind of organization that pays any heed to that kind of nonsense.
MadBuffaloDisease Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 If this trade did indeed happen, it's only proof that Davis suffered a stroke before agreeing to it. That being said, no fargin' way. The Raiders may be dumb, but they're not THAT dumb.
Willis990 Posted March 6, 2007 Author Posted March 6, 2007 It's absolutely true and will be announced at 4:00 PST today pending a physical.
34-78-83 Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 It's absolutely true and will be announced at 4:00 PST today pending a physical. Wrong Edit: IMO
MadBuffaloDisease Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 Maybe pending a physical on Al Davis to determine whether he's brain dead BEFORE giving him a pen to authorize that ridiculous trade.
R. Rich Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 It's absolutely untrue and will be exposed by an intelligent TBD poster at 4:12 EST today pending a physical. Wrong Is it?
34-78-83 Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 Is it? Got some time on your hands like I did big guy?
timmyk12 Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 Let them have Moss...This guy was on his way to STATISTICALLY being one of the greatest WR of all time. BUT he is now an overrated, injury prone, aging WR. The guy is extremely one dimensional and constantly takes plays off. He would never beat the Cover 2 defense let alone just about any other. Hopefully, he does get traded there because he will destroy that team.
R. Rich Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 Got some time on your hands like I did big guy? I'm still on vacation time here @ work. My second day back after a week off, and I'm slowly working myself back into a groove.
Tcali Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 Just heard on Oakland sports radio that The Patriots acquired Randy Moss via trade for a second round pick in 2008. Moss smokes a ton of pot. It has greatly affected his playing ability. He is not a great player anymore.
generaLee83 Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 just because he heard it does not mean there is not a link somewhere....lightenup Francis If that's a Stripes reference I commend you
seq004 Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 Ugh...Moss is still a young guy and IMO still the best WR talent in football. If he gets pumped playing for a solid team that is winning games and he is catching TDs, he could go back to putting up monster stats. I'll make him my early pick for Comeback Player of the Year if this is true. Not still the best in talent at the wide reciever position like he was in Minnesota. He's far removed from that.
NorthWesternBill Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 This thread is basicly a lie from what i can tell, they signed wes welker, had donte stallworth in to visit, and I STILL see nothing about this anywhere but here. The fact that this topic has 4 pages is crazy. I know my opinion does not mean anything but I wish people would not post crap like this.
DC Tom Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 When Terrance McGee is your top corner, Moss doesn't scare you? This is hilarious! Moss scares me when he shows up to play. Fortunately, that's only for one play out of three or four.
DC Tom Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 Moss smokes a ton of pot. It has greatly affected his playing ability. He is not a great player anymore. He was also with the Raiders. Which do you think had a greater effect on his ability?
Git'er Done Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 Aw crud. On the plus side, nothing can ruin a locker room quite like Randy Moss. I don't think Belichick would ever let that guy ruin the locker room. First sign of trouble, he's out on his a$$. That could be bad news for McGee
DCBongo Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 Is Moss still able to be what he was? I think he is more human now then when he was in MN. He will be good, but not THAT good.
TigerJ Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 Aw crud. On the plus side, nothing can ruin a locker room quite like Randy Moss. TO might be even better at poisoning a locker room.
