DCM Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 First of all....there couldn't be enough of this nectar of the Gods to make me feel any better about the dark cloud that has descended over the Miami Dolphins this year.... back to the off-topic at hand: Just what does "cold" taste like? Coors Light's latest ad campaign boldly states it is "the coldest-tasting beer in the world!" Since when does cold have a taste to it? I like my beer cold.....and my beer tastes better when it is chilled....is this beer so good that even when warm it tastes cold?

R. Rich Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 I'm not a big fan of light beers, but IC Light and Amstel Light are okay.

Coors is never meant to be anything other than cold after initial brewing process. Ice brewing
R. Rich Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 Now, if only they could put some more taste into it.
cåblelady Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 Now, if only they could put some more taste into it. 65987 Less filling.
R. Rich Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 Miller Lite is awful. I'm no fan of Coors Light, but I'd drink that over Miller Lite any day.
jayg Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 Now, if only they could put some more taste into it. 65987 I here you. I only drink light beer now. I miss my "funky" beers. Since switching to light I've lost 30lbs(220-190) and a lot of my belly. I'll have a "good" one on special occasions.
jayg Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 Which light beers do you drink? 66005 I drink Coors light mostly. It seems more carbonated than most others which I like. Amstel and Sam Adams are OK too, but I figure it's light beer and may as well go relatively cheap.
jayg Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 Which light beers do you drink? 66005 Actually when I do drink it has more rum and diet than beer lately.
R. Rich Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 I agree on the Amstel and even the Sam, but I'm not a real big Coors Light fan. I don't dislike it, but it's not one of my first choices either.

R. Rich Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 It's a favorite of mine, but not the best I've ever tasted. I had some really good brews in the years I spent in Germany.
MattyT Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 I had some really good brews in the years I spent in Germany. 66039 Now you're talking! Weiss-bier! Arguing about which light American beer is the best is like arguing about which fat girl at the prom is the most likely to put out.
Corp000085 Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 i never really drink light beer. When its american, if i want to get bent, i drink beast ice. If i want a normal american beer, its miller high life, the champagne of beers. I really see no need in going high end for american beers. They taste bad to me, so i drink the cheap stuff. Its the same end result. Of course, if they have blue or molson, its a coin toss between those.
stevestojan Posted October 12, 2004 Posted October 12, 2004 Its just a nice marketing ploy. It doesnt mean ANYTHING... coldest tasting? That's like me building a car, and making a commercial for it saying its the "fastest smelling car in the world" ... you can't argue that because its an opinion. I like coors light if im out at the beach, or am really "thirsty for a beer", which isnt often. I love beer, but if im really "thirsty" normally I'll reach for a soda or a water.
BillsFanNC Posted October 12, 2004 Posted October 12, 2004 Now you're talking! Weiss-bier! Arguing about which light American beer is the best is like arguing about which fat girl at the prom is the most likely to put out. 66075 I'd say that pretty much hits the nail on the head.

BillsFanNC Posted October 12, 2004 Posted October 12, 2004 Have you tried the Belgian Chimay yet? Opinions? 66109 Mmmm Chimay Red. How could a beer brewed by monks not be delicious? Urthel and Duvel are two other fine Belgian ales and that's not even mentioning the lambics! Belgium is the Disneyland of the beer world.
