Buftex Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 What is the prevailing opinion on Kevin Jones, of the Detroit Lions? I know he has been labeled as an "underachiever" by some, but as I recall, he didn't get a lot of chances to carry the ball for most of his Lions career. As I also recall, Dick Jaouron liked him, and utilized him more, in his short stint as Lions HC. I am assuming he could be had, maybe for a fourth round pick or so.
MartyBall4Buffalo Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 Honestly I really liked Kevin Jones when he was drafted, and had a good rookie season and has been victim to injuries the past 2 years, and is a good receiving back. Had 61 receptions before getting injured and when he's on he runs hard and has real good speed. I remember hearing some fuss that he doesn't really get along with Roy Williams. I dont know if he could be had in a trade. I wouldn't mistake tatum bell for an everydown back but if he could that's someone I wouldn't mind seeing with the bills at all.
Mikie2times Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 He is exactly the type of back Fairchild is looking for, but with the injury issues he wouldn't be a solution for 2007, and might never return to the player he was.
RayFinkle Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 Dude has a broken foot, broken in a very bad way. He might not ever play again...
Sketch Soland Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 Yes, let's trade for an underachieving back who may not even play this upcoming season due to major injury
Mile High Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 I'd rather have Thomas Jones. Actually I 'd rather see the Bills pick a running back in the second round or so and watch him develop.
