Tipster19 Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 Ravens just released Lewis. The Ravens would make a great trade partner.
ROCCEO Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 Yeah lets trade willis to a perrennial afc contender and reunite him with some of his miami buddies(ed reed, ray lewis), GREEEEEEEEAAAAAAT idea.
Tipster19 Posted February 28, 2007 Author Posted February 28, 2007 Yeah, you're right, let's just keep him.
Dr. Trooth Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 And... stay tuned. When Deshawn Foster cets cut, Carolina is gonna dial up Jamaal.
Tipster19 Posted February 28, 2007 Author Posted February 28, 2007 Hey, I would love to trade MaGahee to the Ravens for their 1st or 2nd rd pick and then have the Bills sign up Foster.
ROCCEO Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 Hey, I would love to trade MaGahee to the Ravens for their 1st or 2nd rd pick and then have the Bills sign up Foster. So we can watch miss 3/4 of the games every year with an ailment to be named later.
Phlegm Alley Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 Someone on this board predicted this a couple of days ago. They said that Lewis' cap # was exhorbinant and they should release him to free up some cap room. After they released him, McGahee would be an ideal trading partner because of his relatively low cap figure and the fact that he has some friends that play for the Ravens.
DrDawkinstein Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 Yeah lets trade willis to a perrennial afc contender and reunite him with some of his miami buddies(ed reed, ray lewis), GREEEEEEEEAAAAAAT idea. ill happily trade McGahee to the ravens for their 2nd. We will be a much better team immediately. AND its not like losing Lewis will be the collapse of the Ravens, or the addition of McGahee will be that great of an improvement for them. if anything, sending them McGahee ASSURES they will be a slightly lesser team.
Tipster19 Posted February 28, 2007 Author Posted February 28, 2007 That was me and that's why I'm excited about Lewis getting waived. I think Baltimore makes a great trade partner. Whether we trade MaGahee for Baltimore's 1st rd pick (#29 overall) and swap our 2nd rders or just trade him for their 2nd rder flat out.
Dr. Trooth Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 So we can watch miss 3/4 of the games every year with an ailment to be named later. Amen!
In space no one can hear Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 It really does seem like a perfect match! Get 'er done Marv!
In space no one can hear Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 Can Jamal play TE? Yes, in fact he can! Though only against teams that feature a cover two defense!
2003Contenders Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 Don't think the Ravens would be interested in Willis. He didn't exactly make a good impression on them in the season finale.
willis da illest Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 I'd rather ride A-Train for a year or two and find a running back in the draft then take Lewis.
PistolPeaTear Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 I believe the ravens and lewis are still trying to work out some sort of deal. I could see the ravens maybe offering us a 3rd (if in fact we talk to them). but their defense is getting old and theyre a team that needs to look to the draft.
stinky finger Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Don't think the Ravens would be interested in Willis. He didn't exactly make a good impression on them in the season finale. On the flip side, I think teams look at Willis and see a "diamond in the rough". In this macho business, teams think they can take whom they perceive to underachieve and make them shine. They feel THEY are what will bring out the best in a player. I think Baltimores' arrogance will allow them to be plenty interested in WM.

McGahee ending up there actually makes a lot of sense. and he may do well there too... interesting
Oneonta Buffalo Fan Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Lewis has been slipping the past 2 years. I'm very unsure if we should get him. Besides he's been in trouble with the law. Marv won't like that.
