Let'sGoBuffalo Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 Bledsoe drops back... and... That's all he does is drop back, then nothing happens! No scrambling, no quick passes, no fricked brains. He is a lame duck. You put Favre, Brady, or about 50% of the QB's in there and we are 4-0. He has absolutely no awarness what is happening with pressure and what to do about it. Enjoy your last season with the Bills Drew... and Good riddens. We'll save cap room and then be able to sign the #1 pick in the draft. And that pick better be superstar Donohoe or you are next.
Frez Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 To bad Dallas is getting our first round pick next draft.

It is a collective group effort
tennesseeboy Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 Actually its the offensive line. Simple as that.
swede316 Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 Hmmm...Didn't we have the lead going into the final minutes...Oh that's right Bledsoe dosen't play defense..So it can't be all his fault.
Rico Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 Drew hasn't played badly at all. It's possible I was wrong about him. The Bills just need to learn how to win. You guys are not that far away. 65692 Welcome back Foxboro Mike!!!

Its all Drew, not the O-line so I know you don't want to waste a pick on the line, right? Our line is great, we would be undefeated if not for Drew so we don't have to invest in any new lineman at all. Wow, that was easy. Instant solution, blame the QB. Why the front office of the Bills hasn't snapped you up with that kind of brilliant analysis is beyond me. Who would have thought? Bledsoe stinks? Tell me, how did you think of it, how? Thank goodness you are around to share your insight. Talk about a unique take on the situation. We never would have guessed it was Bledsoe all along.

I would love to see a change for one game at the QB spot to see what happens.
Formerly Allan in MD Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 The O line is offensive. Is the quarterback supposed to block for himself? And by the way, we won't have the number one pick in the draft, no matter how many more we lose (unless TD proves to be a much more brilliant deal maker than he has proven to be thus far).

IDBillzFan Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 You know what's funny? Change "Bledsoe" to "Bush" and put this thread on PPP, and it would almost work for LGB.

spidey Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 To bad Dallas is getting our first round pick next draft. 65516 Remember we traded that for chance to Get Loosman. We need a new QB its a given so we took it this year when QB spot was good versus next year that looks weak. Plus theory was gives a year to get ready but that was ruined by TV. But look at Big Ben he has jumped right in and is doing a fine job.
Buffaloed in Pa Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 Get real FOOL ...bledsoe still has a big time arm and is still good ...check out some of YOUR great scrambling Q.B.s around the league including VICK and see how many times they are sacked????? plain and SIMPLE it is the LINE :I starred in Brokeback Mountain:

Cotton Fitzsimmons Posted October 12, 2004 Posted October 12, 2004 It's easy to blame this all on Drew, and maybe if we had another QB in there our record would be different, but consider the following. When I look at the key plays/scenarios that have cost us games this year, the QB position really wasn't involved whatsoever. I remember the critical 3rd down in the Raiders game where T-Henry had a hole but proceeded to trip for no apparent reason. Also in that game Henry couldn't punch it into the endzone for a critical TD... or maybe he did and it should have been challenged. In either case the QB position had no significant impact on the result of the play. I recall Chris Villarial taking a huge holding penalty on a play where McGahee had the first down in the Jax game when we were running out the clock that eventually forced us to give the ball back to Jax and allowed them to take the lead. In the Jets game, the defense allowed the go ahead score with 1:00 left. A critical stop by the defense and we win that game. Granted... Drew has made some bad plays too, but when you look at these key turn of events... whether the QB was Brett Favre, Joe Montana, or Jim Kelly... would the result have been different? All things considered... Drew has posted an 85.2 passer rating... that includes 5 TD/3 INT, and a very respectable 7.29 yds. per attempt. If you're asking a QB to be efficient and run a smash mouth offense, and let a solid defense help win games, that's the kind of performance you're looking for. Frankly, I doubt Shane Matthews would perform as well as Drew has to this point.
