Oneonta Buffalo Fan Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/nfl_exper...e?urn=nfl,25075 * Louisville defensive tackle Amobi Okoye weighed in at 302 pounds, which is back up from the 287-pound mark he posted at the Senior Bowl last month. He has a very well-conditioned and toned body type for his size and age (19). Some evaluators mentioned that once Okoye matures over the next few years he could be one of the NFL's best interior defenders. http://www.footballsfuture.com/news/2007/0...ve-lineman.html Amobi Okoye - 5.00s in the 40 yard dash. I think he benched between 27-32 reps. Sportcenter knows how much exactly. I WANT THIS GUY SO BADLY!.
Mantis Toboggan M.D Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 that could have been worded better.
Sketch Soland Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 LOL Yes, he would be a fine addition to the Bills

Not saying he isn't great but was his prodution on the field above average. I know I have no life, but I have all the combine taped (which I haven't watched yet) and the Senior Bowl practices taped (which I have watched all of). Ryan Kalil handled him pretty easily in the pass blocking drills that I saw (take it for what it's worth). Not trying to be critical just wondering if he is more hype than production.... but he does seem to be a high character guy; which is never a negative. Finally, has this off season been long or does it seem that Okoye has been the 19 year old phenom for about 2-1/2 years now. Go Bills !!
John from Riverside Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 He is going to end up getting drafted ahead of us...he is looking too good... Pull a hamstring or something Okoye!
MadBuffaloDisease Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Any results of his 10- and 20-yard split times (more important IMHO than 40-yard), cone, short shuttle, VJ, and BJ? I'm curious to see what weight he's at at his pro day workout and how fast he runs.
Lori Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 He is going to end up getting drafted ahead of us...he is looking too good... Pull a hamstring or something Okoye! You're evil, John. You cursed him... Amobi Okoye (Louisville) ran a 4.97, but he only ran one time because he pulled his right hamstring. It's unclear how much he'll be able to do the rest of the way.http://www.nfl.com/combine/story/10023516

Nanker Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 There's no room for Okoye on The Bills. Just go look at the Patrick Willis lovefest being conducted elsewhere on the board. If Okoye is there at 12 and Marv passes him up and picks Leon Hall or some other light weight without trading down, I'm going to join Bill in NYC for some serious drinks - and they'll be on me.

I would agree that Okoye is the first option, but there is very little chance he will be available at #12. You better hope Willis is still there at #12 - if not the Bills will be looking at Revis at CB. Miami is cutting loose most of their OL including their LT (McKinney, Fat Bennie, McIntosh) so there is a very high likelihood they take Levi Brown at #9.
