In space no one can hear Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 Let's see what this does to his draft stock.(Just depends on the team how they factor it) Calhoun ran a 4.49 Peterson ran a 4.38.....blazing!
VABills Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 And Calvin Johnson who wasn't going to run the 40, borrowed a pair of sneakers from a QB who had the same size, got no traction at the start, poor kick, and still ran and easy 4.35.
VABills Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 I was watching some earlier, this kid Stanton, also has an arm, quick release. Not sure where is is projected but of the group I say, he was the smoothest and easily the best of that group which included Smith from OSU. Leak also looked pretty damn good.

He'll probably rerun at the Cal pro day but right now with the sexual abuse allegations and that time would think it could take him out of the top 15. Stanton was well thought of entering the season but had a poor one which caused his stock to drop. He might bring it up again with a strong combine. Though think it might only creep him in the bottom third of the 1st Round at the best.
DrDawkinstein Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 im pretty sure all charges have been dropped against Lynch...
In space no one can hear Posted February 25, 2007 Author Posted February 25, 2007 To be fair Lynch's better time was 4.49 Who is Calhoun? Your right....just saw his second time was better. Not looking to diss him. I'm neutral on the Lynch issue.
In space no one can hear Posted February 25, 2007 Author Posted February 25, 2007 To be fair Lynch's better time was 4.49 Who is Calhoun? Sorry!!!!I had a brain cramp!!! Brian Leonard is FB from Rutgers who wants to play halfback in the pros. At 6'2" and 235 pounds, he ran a 4.49 and lifted 28 times. (He did play halfback earlier in his career) He looks to be having quite a combine and will certainly move up draft boards.

You're right though, Leonard is having a great combine to follow up a great Senior Bowl. I did not think he would run as fast as he did.

In space no one can hear Posted February 25, 2007 Author Posted February 25, 2007 If we are looking for a back after the top tier to complement McGahee(if he still here) Chris Henry from Arizona ran a 4.33 40 time How is that for explosiveness?

In space no one can hear Posted February 25, 2007 Author Posted February 25, 2007 Any word on what Dwayne Wright's run? Wright ran a 4.68 40x I'm sure he was hoping for better.
The Jokeman Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 Wright ran a 4.68 40x I'm sure he was hoping for better. Thanks, time to put him on my day 2 list then.
billybob Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 4.52 -4.49 is plently fast if you have moves and power and balance and hands and you are willing to read the playbook.

Actually leonard has lost 12 lbs. i believe for the combine weighed in at 224, he wants to play tailback!
