bluenews Posted February 23, 2007 Posted February 23, 2007 It has been reported that Calvin Johnson weighed in at 239 pounds. is that heavier than many had predicted? How will that effect his 40 yard dash time? Do you think some might project him as a TE (light)?
In space no one can hear Posted February 23, 2007 Author Posted February 23, 2007 is that heavier than many had predicted? How will that effect his 40 yard dash time? Do you think some might project him as a TE (light)? Johnson was listed at 235 in college. I think he will post a tremendous 40 time!
BUFFALOTONE Posted February 23, 2007 Posted February 23, 2007 is that heavier than many had predicted? How will that effect his 40 yard dash time? Do you think some might project him as a TE (light)? No way. From what I here he isnt even at the combine. If he did put a lil weight on I am sure that it will come off just as fast. He was at 229 during the season. Not really a massive fluctuation for a guy 6 foot 4
The Jokeman Posted February 23, 2007 Posted February 23, 2007 Here is an initial take from Gil Brandt. Brandt's Quick Hits The Scout.com Combine Newswire from their blog: 1:59 p.m.: Fresno State Wide Receiver Paul Williams has a brother, J.D. Williams, that played DB for the Buffalo Bills during their Super Bowl seasons and later coached against Paul as a DBs coach at Washington. When Paul was asked if J.D could've covered him, Paul said, "Never. Quote me on that. Never." Checked in.

In space no one can hear Posted February 23, 2007 Author Posted February 23, 2007 Gil gets paid for this crap. what a waste. at least we know who the fattest QB is That is what they are doing today(measurements/weights). Teams are also doing personal interviews. We will not hear on the "spin" on those for a few days at least.
Pyrite Gal Posted February 24, 2007 Posted February 24, 2007 My favorite size stat is from the first day measurements where a player whose name was Gijon something or other was not only the shortest RB but also the heaviest. He must be amazing to watch him run (waddle?).
Buffalo Wing Posted February 24, 2007 Posted February 24, 2007 Gil gets paid for this crap. what a waste. at least we know who the fattest QB is I always laugh at his fantasy picks during the year. For example, he'll say for an Indy game, "I expect Peyton Manning, Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, and Joseph Addai to put up good numbers this week". Really Gil? Sure about that?
