SuperBills12 Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 It's on the front page of billsdaily.com. Would the Bills want him back at the right price??

The Big Cat Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 Would the Bills want him back at the right price?? yes. He's not the "attacker" Marv spoke of but his leadership is indispensible. Furthermore, a guy like him can expedite the learning curve for the linebacker Buffalo's more than likely going to bring in one way or another during the offseason.
silvermike Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 Drew and London must have gotten some bad whiffs of the market for his services if he's changing his tune and talking about coming back now. Interesting.
BuffaloRebound Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 If Fletcher is retained, I'd bet that Spikes is let go. I don't see both of them being back. Ellison and Crowell will be starting, so you can't pay both Spikes and Fletcher the money it will take to keep them.
K-Gun10 Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 Woke up this morning shocked to see that wont mind him back.
JStranger76 Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 No, Crowell and Ellison would battle it out for the remaining spot.

Bill from NYC Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 And stay he should. For God's sake Marv, just apply the franchise and call it a friggin day.

Bill from NYC Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 But Bill, what about his honor? LOL! The truth is, in this case, 1 year would be fine, and Marv could make him all of the dumb, perhaps even incoherent promises, that he sees fit to make, because JP and Evans are going to be UFAs soon. Spikes is a HUE question mark, and we know little about the other LBs. Truthfully, I would consider this to be an area of need even if we DO keep London. As I said, there are not many ways to spend this abundance of cap dollars. Franchising London is an "unfair" idea whose time has come.
