HeyNowBuffalo Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 Tigers' coach Andy Van Slyke talking about the media coverage that their first pitchers fielding practice received... Recall last year that Detroit pitchers made a boatload of errors in the World Series: "Only baseball could come up with this. ... It would be like what's-his-name, the kicker from Buffalo, 'Wide Right,' Scott Norwood. He missed that field goal, and they lost, 21-19, in the Super Bowl. It would be like him, the next year, his first day of kicking field goals, finding 250 reporters around him watching him kicking field goals. It has nothing to do with it."
