Coach Tuesday Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Good franchises do not overpay for cornerbacks, aging linebackers and platooning defensive ends...
daquixers_is_back Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 Good franchises do not overpay for cornerbacks, aging linebackers and platooning defensive ends... The Patriots just payed A. Samuel 7 + million dollars for the 2007 season. I guess they are not a good franchise in your opinion.
Coach Tuesday Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 The Patriots just payed A. Samuel 7 + million dollars for the 2007 season. I guess they are not a good franchise in your opinion. They didn't OVERPAY.
DrDawkinstein Posted February 18, 2007 Author Posted February 18, 2007 so paying Samuel 7 mil this season is NOT over paying, but paying clements 7 mil last year, and signing him to a long term contract that would ACTUALLY only hit us for 4 mil this year IS overpaying?
daquixers_is_back Posted February 18, 2007 Posted February 18, 2007 They didn't OVERPAY. Huh? Samuel and Clements are in all senses the same type of CB. They average about the same ammount of INT's per year and deflections per year. Clements just has 3 more TD's. So giving QB A, 7+ mill for the year, and giving identical QB A(2) 7+ mill is different huh? so paying Samuel 7 mil this season is NOT over paying, but paying clements 7 mil last year, and signing him to a long term contract that would ACTUALLY only hit us for 4 mil this year IS overpaying? Has me confused also.
DrDawkinstein Posted February 18, 2007 Author Posted February 18, 2007 we wouldnt even be paying him 7mil a year until 2-3 years from now, no matter how Ralph and Marv want to look at it.
