In space no one can hear Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 well then for god's sake man why did you post and start a thread with it?!?! Probably because it's one of those events in Buffalo sports history that ties us together in a moment of time.
Chef Jim Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 Not physically old I understood.......life is soooo much better for me at 45 than it was at 25.
ExiledInIllinois Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 Here is a bit more info. on the story.LINK I really liked him. Class act-good goalie! Wow! What a pic! Did you ever read about his personal life?... I knew goalies were a strange breed and all... But, CM had some serious compulsions! Not sure if the on ice accident exaberated his mental condition though... Surely can't blame him if it did!
buckeyemike Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 That video was sickening...I can understand why the announcer said "Take the camera off". I vaguely remember this, but I didn't know it was a Sabres goalie and I had never seen the clip before. I was 19 and in college when it happened, and I certainly didn't have access to ESPN or the Net at the time. No cable TV in my college apartment. What happened to him afterward? He was apparently OK, but how long was he out? And what was his career like after that?
BuffaloBud Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 He currently is the goalie coach for the Columbus Blue Jackets. www.bluejackets.com/team/hockeydept/coaches.php
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 When was this? I think I heard about this, but when did this happen? I maybe not have been born yet. I never saw the game so I can't comprehend the severity of what I just saw. Nevertheless GO SABRES! What are you, 10? Holy shti...I just realized someone born when I graduated HS would be 16 now.
In space no one can hear Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 What are you, 10?Holy shti...I just realized someone born when I graduated HS would be 16 now. LOL.....I've had those thoughts and then quickly thought of something else!
Buftex Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 What are you, 10?Holy shti...I just realized someone born when I graduated HS would be 16 now. Make that 24 for me!
