Albany,n.y. Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 I'm predicting Steve Mariucci. Getting fired by Matt Millen & Ford is a plus, not a minus, on someone's resume. Proven regular season winner who has won 3 playoff games with the niners. A QB guy to further the development of Rivers.
DrDawkinstein Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 Baltimore Ravens DC Rex Ryan im goin with this too. aj smith wants someone who will have an ultra-agressive D and who will manage the players he's given. and someone who will come fairly cheap. mariucci will want more money than SD is willing to give.
scribo Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 It really boggles my mind that AJ waited this long to do this. He let both his coordinators walk before pulling the trigger. He let all the other teams find their new coaches first. AJ must already have an idea who he wants. And he must have been sure his pick wouldn't be hired by another team.
ThreeBillsDrive Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 I hear Ted will be getting an interview...... Adam Shefter on NFL Network mentioned that Ted Cottrell is being considered.
Tom Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 Where is Jerry Glanville or Rich Kotite these days?
ThreeBillsDrive Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 Nick Saban And MM as his OC? That'd be a great way to screw up young Rivers head.

Mooch be a solid candidate and think be better then the highly rumored Pete Carroll.

Yeah AJ is a good personnel guy but he sounds like a huge spazz. I know it's fashionable to bash Marty and all but it's impossible for me to believe they'll find a better coach at this point, much less assemble a decent staff.
ThreeBillsDrive Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 Where is Jerry Glanville or Rich Kotite these days? Glanville's still in Hawaii as DC of U of H http://uhathletics.hawaii.edu/Coach/coach....amp;coachid=147
In space no one can hear Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 Glanville's still in Hawaii as DC of U of H http://uhathletics.hawaii.edu/Coach/coach....amp;coachid=147 Remember the reports when Donahoe first took over that Ralph wanted Glanville to be interviewed for the head coaching position?
