Buffalo Mike1 Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 Adalius Thomas will be pursed by 49's, Packers, Jets in that order.
K-Gun10 Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 Adalius Thomas will be pursed by 49's, Packers, Jets in that order. well if we dont get him i hope to god the jets dont hes a beast
ROCCEO Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 BTW, I dont want to give anyone an anuerism around here but its been suggested that the Pats will be going after him as well.
MadBuffaloDisease Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 BTW, I dont want to give anyone an anuerism around here but its been suggested that the Pats will be going after him as well. The Pats won't pay top dollar. The 49'ers and Jets will.
ROCCEO Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 On occasion, the Pats WILL pay top dollar. ie: Roosevelt Colvin
MadBuffaloDisease Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 Colvin took less money to play for the Pats. He got a better deal from the Lions I think it was, but rejected them. And the Pats won't get into a bidding war, which is what I see happening with the top FA's. A lot of teams have a lot of cash.
In space no one can hear Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 Adalius Thomas will be pursed by 49's, Packers, Jets in that order. HE IS A BEAST!!!! What an athlete!! I hope he doesn't go to the Jets.

34-78-83 Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 Common denominator: Most of those teams play a 3-4 hybrid defense.
Ramius Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 Isn't Briggs considered the better FA LB? Briggs will probably be tagged by chicago.

MadBuffaloDisease Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 And why won' Thomas do what Colvin did ? Because money talks for most.
OnTheRocks Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 Briggs will probably be tagged by chicago. yeah...this is what i heard on WFAN this morning. seems likely. however, i don't know how happy Briggs will be with it.
marauderswr80 Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 I think the 49ers are a team thats on the verge of becomming VERY GOOD! This would help the defense for them. Id be upset if the Jets went after him! Him and Vilma together would be nasty!
ganesh Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 Because money talks for most. When it did not talk with Colvin, what makes you think it will with Adalius Thomas...I am sure the guy might forgo a few million to join the Patriots if it means contending for the superbowl every year.

I think it's safer for me to say that a player will opt for the money versus your contention that just because Colvin took less, Thomas would as well. Especially with the way the Pats have treated their players over the past few years. But the proof will be in the pudding.

The Pats are happy to pay 75% of market value and sell players on the BS factors: Patriots "mystique", the Patriots "system", yada yada yada.
