ROCCEO
Falcons | Hartwell could be a cap casualty Sun, 11 Feb 2007 11:08:12 -0800 John Clayton, of ESPN.com, reports Atlanta Falcons LB Edgerton Hartwell could be a cap casualty this offseason. Now, I know hes had some injury problems, but he was quite good with the Ravens and if he comes for the right price Id say hes vastly better than the gaping hole that is currently staring the bills square in the face. I dont believe he has played a full season since he left Baltimore. Maybe he and TKO can plan out what games they will and wont play due to injury . Not worth the money in my opinion. BUFFALOTONE
Agreed. The guy may end up retiring soon due to his injury problems. Pass.
Matt in KC
Remember this as another reason Fletcher is worth re-signing (you know, once he's gone): the guy has been amazingly durable. What did he miss, one and a half or two games games with the Bills?
tennesseeboy
I'd re-sign Fletcher. I think he takes a lot of criticism for us failing to solidify the center of the defensive line. Get a first rate DT and I think Fletcher will be just fine.
donahoeisgod
Why not franchise Fletcher and then draft his replacement on Round 1, 2 or 3? I know $ 7.2 million is alot for LFB but we can swing it under the cap and it allows 1) not having to spend any bonus money on him or his replacement and 2) gives more flexibility in FA and the Draft.
