HelloNewman Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 I would rather shop at Target. -Their stores are cleaner overall (ever been in a Wal-Mart restroom? BARF!!!) -Better staff and eager to help out (can't find a Wal-Mart employee to save my life in one of their stores) -Stuff is usually in stock and if not they can tell you when it will be in (Wal-Mart has no clue when anything is in or out) -Better Customer service at checkouts -I just like the non-trailer trash atmosphere there -Prices comprable to Wal-MArt What do you guys think and why?
buckeyemike Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 Target, but I wind up at Wal-Mart most of the time. Ironically, there is a Target 200 yards from my office...and another Target and a Wal-Mart across the street from each other, less than two miles from my home. So, Target and Wal-Mart are literally the same distance from my house.
Fezmid Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 Target, because it supports the local economy (they're based in Minneapolis). CW
Lv-Bills Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 You've gotta be kidding me with this post. Seriously. This isn't hard at all. Ummmm, besides 20 other reasons to go to Target over Wal-Mart......have you ever noticed that hot chicks go to Target and most of the rest go to Wal-Mart? No really people, there is definately a difference in Target women and Wal-Mart women.
In space no one can hear Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 Target. No Contest. Walmart sucks!!!!
GoodBye Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 Target by far for all of the reasons you stated. No contest.
Dr. Fong Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 It depends on what I want to buy. Wal-Mart has more products to buy, but Target is the superior shopping experience.
bobblehead Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 Target has better spinning hot dogs. Also - their SHD's go better with Slurpees
/dev/null Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 Target And in my case Target and Wal Mart are about the same distance. Maybe quarter mile or so apart down the same street
DrDawkinstein Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 without a doubt Target. i dont even know where there is a Walmart around me. but even if i did i wouldnt go. forget equal-distance. id travel twice as far to go to a Target over a Walmart
BILLS4LIFE Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 We have a new Target on Transit near Losson and thats closer to me than Walmart. I choose Target for all the reasons in the first post. Cleaner, better prices, etc.
Beerball Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 You've gotta be kidding me with this post. Seriously. This isn't hard at all. mead107 Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 Who are all the people thet shop at walmart ?
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 Interesting tid bit. Did you guys know Wal Mart is the largest grocery store in the world? They only got into the grocery business about 10 years ago with their super wal-marts, and have eclipsed every single long-established grocery chain in the world. Target is cleaner with better service and better quality stuff. But if I want something as cheap as possible, I go to wal-mart.
tennesseeboy Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 I prefer Target, but I don't mind Wal-Mart. Guess it would depend on what I'm shopping for. Target gets higher marks for all the things you mentioned, but in my case its in a mall with a Books a million and a TJ Maxx and a Pier 51 so I tend to go there enjoying a visit to the other stores as well... don't get that at a Wal-Mart.
RayFinkle Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 Target has better spinning hot dogs. Also - their SHD's go better with Slurpees My Target has a Starbucks inside it.
buckeyemike Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 My Target has a Starbucks inside it. So does mine. There's a Pizza Hut Express inside the Target as well.
X. Benedict Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 I have never been to a Target. I have been to Wal-mart 3 times in the last three years. If it was practical, I would never return either. I would rather have my nuts tasered than spend 20 minutes in a retail store.
