The following link is to a webcam placed above the streets of downtown Houma, La., where some of the better Mardi Gras parades take place. I figured some of you northern folks would want to see a little of Mardi Gras, then take a look. I usually attend all of these parades, but there is one starting right now that I couldn't get to because of previous arrangements, so I found this webcam online.

Scroll a little ways down and click on "Houma Mardi Gras Webcam".

WHY?

If you are watching now, what you see now is a stand still because the queen's float pulls next to the grandstand and they toast the queen, give them a key to the city and what not. It's pretty cool to see in person.

Sorry my computer is running a tad slower than usual. I see what you mean now.
