slothrop
why would you think Connolly is playing tonight? He has made progress but he has a herniated disk in addition to the concussion problems. It will be weeks before he sees any game-time

Bungee Jumper
dont forget about SARS May as well throw bubonic plague and ovarian cysts in there as well, then... Bummer about Gaustad. (for those who didn't hear, the slash on his ankle includes a slashed tendon; he's out at least until next season.)

Oneonta Buffalo Fan
This game shouldn't have been so close. But I guess most of our game will be for the rest of the season now that Gaustad is gone for the year.

HurlyBurly51
Nice game boys...sucks about Goose. Like we can lose more grit on the team? With Goose and Spacek out, I see Darcy making some moves for the playoff push.
Buftex
With Goose and Spacek out, I see Darcy making some moves for the playoff push. No kidding...just as it seemed that Gaustadt and Roy were emerging in that physical aspect of the game, this happens...oh well. I have faith someone will step it up. Who can we afford to get rid of though? This team has such a great chance of taking the cup, I am thinking tradig Biron (depending on what we got for him) would be too risky at this point. Maybe Max? Great game, again, by the blades tonight. It is nice to see them playing like one of the two or three very best teams in the leauge again. Just as I had made up my mind that if the Sabres have to lose either Drury or Birere, Danny would be more expendable, the little frog has taken his game to an amazing level. Now I am not so sure who would be easier to replace. You just can't replace the spark Briere brings to this team. And this is coming from someone who loves Drury. Anyway, taking a deep breath, and keeping my fingers crossed that we make it through the final 25 games or so, without any more major injuries...
