Let me start by saying your ignorance concering how our country went to war is beyond belief. So here: 'The entire Congress?' BTW, the Senate is part of Congress. I mean how ignorant are you? Try again. And the whole point of my post you ingrate was that the Intelligence community did not get it wrong. The White House simply dismissed them and set up their own 'Intelligence' committee and reached their own findings--surprise, surprise--that the CIA said was wrong. Some would call that lying. You just want to say they made a tiny little mistake, but that's ok.

And you still have more information then them. You have my vote. Thanks for the laughs tonight. I knew the Senate was part of the Cogress, unlike you. And I knew that you don't invade suicide bomber land, just like Bush's dad knew. I also saw that Colin Powell's BS UN address was a joke, ya, drone aircraft will come and get us. Forged documents on Niger Yellow Cake were a tip off. People telling me, "Well they attacked us on 9-11" was somewhat dishartening, since Saddam wasn't behind it. Ya, I knew better. Not going to appologize was knowing better. May I also suggest a United States Government class at a local college so you can learn how the government is set up? Might help you a bit. IDBillzFan
So basically, "stop picking on my lying President!" No, you need to grow up. When politicians !@#$ up this bad they need to be held accountable. The reason I don't waste time with you like Eryn does is because you are one of the handful of people who are so myopic as to the ways of the world, that having a discussion with you is simply pissing in the wind. People like root for failure because you love to find blame with everything, regardless of what side of the carpet you're standing on. Options, alternatives, or original thoughts have no place in your cranium because you're too busy waving a flag that send "The World Is Ending Soon And It's Not My Fault." You are the quintessential "part of the problem, not part of the solution," and as is typical with people like you, you think that putting the same words to different music make it a brand new song. And for what it's worth, I don't care what your party affiliation is. Your gig is stale and boring and makes this place a !@#$ing dump where there was once good discourse. The good thing, for you at least, is life must be great because watching others from the sideline, cheering for failure so you can shout out "Yeah, but it wasn't me!" is the easiest gig in town taken to new heights with your daily, unoriginal banter. But hey, I'm sure you have a link to some article saying why you are known for original thought.

molson_golden2002
The reason I don't waste time with you like Eryn does is...... But then you did waste some time. And wasted it badly, too. No one is cheering for failure, I am just pointing out failure and calling it what it is, namely, failure. Two days into the invasion someone in the media asked Tommy Franks if it was Vietnam yet? The Conservatives blew a fuse. TWO DAYS!! But really so many of us understood what was taking place and what was going to happen that the question of course made sense. You don't invade suicide bomber land if you don't have to. The mob of ignorant garbage that cheered this adventure on and now refuses to see it for what it is simply wants to avoid reality. I have to admit that I am amazed that telling the truth, backing it up with proof and not backing down causes so many irrational posts like yours. Because I show whats going on "I'm cheering for failure." In reality--oh mean old Mr. Reality!!-you are cheering for illusion, for what you wish was happening instead, for unreality, grasping at straws and cursing the world for not giving you what you think should be right. What causes teh reactions is not the content of the posts/links, but the content of your cahracter (or lack thereof) I agree with much of what you've linked to and was also against this unfocused mindless pie in the sky folly berfore it started. I agree that this administration is guilty of manipulatng intelligence to its own predetermined ends and that it is likely to be viewed historically as one of the most corrupt self-serving and destructive administrations of my lifetime. But even though I tend to agree with your basic position I still think you're an annoying blathering moron who has no more substance than any other typically pathetic partisan cheerleader. When even the people who agree with you still believe you're a fu(king idiot, it may be time to rethink your MO.......

Seems to me you've come to these boards for three reasons: 1. The chance to put other people down 2. The chance to "show off" what you think is your own intelligence 3. The chance to spread propaganda Sometimes (as in my case) 1 and 3 go together.

RuntheDamnBall
The big problem with your post is that people ARE arguing against my positions. If you have been following along you would see that. Why should I change my MO to make someone like you happy? Because your tactics are alienating anyone who might agree with you, and at the same time cementing the opinion from the other side that anyone with a left-of-center opinion is a loony who doesn't research and will post anything that says Bush is bad. I can't say I knew more at the time but in 2002 I could see that this was going to end disastrously, provide a forum for terrorists, and be an all-around bad idea in that America would become the lightning rod by taking out a secular regime, and help a movement literally run by a bunch of jobless bozos become something much more viable and powerful. It's too bad that in the name of politics (i.e. "I don't want to be branded as soft on terror, but I have no other plan") few had the balls to stand up on this one. In the meantime we've made it much harder for our intelligence community to do its job by giving them more fires to put out.
