silvermike Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 Old news - he's been saying this all season.
DrDawkinstein Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 "France said he's had no in-depth discussions with Buffalo" thats the news part to me. we really havent been trying to work on anything? or they wont bother to even to listen to any offers from the team?
ThreeBillsDrive Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 I'm in absolute shock over this "big news". Nate will test the free agent market? Who would have thought?
Bungee Jumper Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 More big news! Dick Jauron says he might be back as coach next season...
DrDawkinstein Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 7 years, $63 million. Would you do it? that averages to $9mill/season. we're $39mil under. that leaves us with $30mil left.... as much as i dont think he should be the TOP paid guy, i think id do it
BUFFALOTONE Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 Not counting the signing bonus he gets too. I think I would go after a guy like Harper. Great cover 2 corner.

Talk of him becoming yet another high-paid Dan Snyder whore was premature.

SuperBills12 Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 "Our guys may want to test the market, and we understand that," Jauron said. "But we'd like to be kept in the loop and keep the conversations up with them and be as honest as we can be with them and keep an open mind as we chase our guys and others. That's the game. That's the business." -DJ
Mark Vader Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 Or a 49er. God knows they have the cap space and desperately need a CB.
ThreeBillsDrive Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 He will be a Viking, I got a weird feeling. Could be. I'm sure big Pat would love to see Nate in purple next year. The Vikes badly need a pass defence.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 He will be a Viking, I got a weird feeling. Yeah, they like to take all of our players. (Too bad we still beat them last year).
OnTheRocks Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 the bottom line is the job of management is to put together a winning team. i would tag him and say,...."sorry Nate...it's not personal. it's business." who said what and when makes no difference. when the Bills win the Super Bowl next year all will be forgiven.
Peter Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 I have a sick feeling that the Dolphins will go after him. Nate has always played well against them. They have a need at DB. They have the cap room (as I recall). It would hurt us. If he does leave, I really hope that he goes to an NFC team.

DrDawkinstein Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 if we are SECOND in cap room and its NOT the 49ers(who are 1st i believe) that sign him. then i dont understand why we cant... does that make too much sense? or not enough?
daquixers_is_back Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 that averages to $9mill/season. we're $39mil under. that leaves us with $30mil left.... as much as i dont think he should be the TOP paid guy, i think id do it Its an impossible battle. Most people on this board do not like to think that way. I have been saying this all season.
DrDawkinstein Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 even if we DID sign him to that contract and after bonus we had... $25mil left. doesnt that still leave us in the top quarter in cap space?
