olivier in france Posted February 8, 2007 Share Posted February 8, 2007 I was watching the Sabres vs Atlanta last night on the North American Sport Network and is it me or was Atlanta's rink really filled with Sabres fans? It looked like more than half the people in the stands were rooting for our team... What a great hockey town Atlanta is!! Just wish they could move those teams in real hockey towns... DrDawkinstein Posted February 8, 2007 Share Posted February 8, 2007 as a buffalo transplant and someone who was at the game... yep, it was probably over half sabres fans. and all of those are, unfortunately, people that have been forced to leave buffalo for one reason or another. we'll be there again March 18th ready for another win. and frankly, as far as atlanta natives and thrashers fans go, i really hand it to the southern folk around here. the hockey fans REALLY love their team and the sport, even though its sorta new to them.
