stevestojan Posted February 4, 2007 Author Posted February 4, 2007 global warming --- Feel it . Hey, if it weren't for the damn global warming, it would only be 2°F.

Navy Chief Navy Pride Posted February 4, 2007 Posted February 4, 2007 It's 50 degrees here in Alabama and will be 70 by early next week where it shall stay until it gets hotter than that. The only thing I don't miss about being back home in Tonawanda is being COLD. Lets move the BUffalo area south.
Hammered a Lot Posted February 4, 2007 Posted February 4, 2007 Only one this to do in a situation like this: 11 degrees now which does not bother me. The high winds last night packed the light snow in to hard drifts. Using a high lift and back hole makes life easier!
ajzepp Posted February 4, 2007 Posted February 4, 2007 Using a high lift and back hole makes life easier! You're picking up the snow and farting on it?

ExiledInIllinois Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 4.7 here in Illinois... Was -8.0 when I came into work at 0800... ACTUAL TEMPS! Now for useless info: "Cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey." Brass monkeys were brass rings on the deck of warships to prevent the cannon balls from sliding around... The rings were made out of brass so as no to cause a spark when the steel cannon balls would come into contact with the ring (or each other) or "brass monkey"... And ignite the powder accidently... Since the metals of the cannon balls and monkey where dissimilar... Cold temps would cause the brass monkey to contract... Hence: Freezing the balls off a brass monkey...
GoodBye Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 Sunny and 67 today in the SF Bay area. I was out hiking in a t-shirt today. It's been in the 60s the last couple of days in Oregon too.
