Fascinating book and author, and actually a quite serious book that looks at !@#$s in the work place, and the damage they can do. The author has spent quite a bit of time with my company, SuccessFactors and we are in the book. We are a pure play on -demand software company that delivers Human Capital Management applications IE automating and refining things like Performance Appraisals, Goal Alignment, Succession Planning and such. We are growing at just a phenomenal rate, and totally dominate this space. One of the reasons I took this job, and the absolutute key to our success is our culture. One of our 5 founding principles is what is called the NO !@#$S RULE. Everyone must sign a NO !@#$ document when you join the company, basically saying if you are or act like an !@#$, you will be fired. We also stricly adhere to things like no BCC ing anyone, as it is a firable offence. It is without a doubt the greatest work envirnoment I have been in, and it reflected in our business results 1000 clients 01/01/07as opposed to 275 clients 01/01/06. End of commercial.
