If he can actually block effectively he'll be a valuable addition to the offense, if not, not so much. We need the first day for the big time help; this guy is kind of a luxury pick when we really need serious help at guard, maybe corner, big wideout, linebacker, DT, and maybe RB. Those are all higher on the priority list than a FB.
RuntheDamnBall Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 Two Words: Rob Konrad. Leonard has shown he can rush for a good deal more and catch as well as Konrad could. Plus, Konrad was another one of those guys who typically get lost in the shuffle when handled by several coaching staffs (see: Mike Williams). I'd be happy to have Leonard as our 'Alstott' type back, split some carries with Willis, and blow up dudes in front of Willis to give him room to run. I know we didn't use the FB so much last year, but maybe that was because our FB sucked out loud and was injured.

tennesseeboy Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 You are right that he is a real catch. I think we won't be able to get him until we meet our other needs in the first three rounds, but if he is still there at four (I suspect he won't be) we might not be able to pass him up.
