smokinandjokin Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Alan Arkin in "Little Miss Sunshine" was one of the funniest goddam performances I've seen in a long time. His character gave some fantastic advice in that movie.
RuntheDamnBall Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 It was really nice to see Ryan Gosling recognized for his work in "Half Nelson." Didn't think they would do it. Certainly it's a difficult film and it didn't make a ton of money, so all the more impressive that people saw his stellar acting for what it was. I am a little bummed that what I feel was the most creative display in cinema this year, "The Science of Sleep," didn't even get a well-deserved Art Direction nomination, or anything else. Michel Gondry is a genius and should be championed for more than just his music video work.
soldier Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 United 93 should have gotten a Best Picture nod, imo
tennesseeboy Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 How Samuel L. Jackson got passed up for best actor in "Snakes on a Plane" is beyond me. That will go down as the major snub in film history.
