Buffal0 Bill5 Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 I was checking in today just to see if this very topic had been covered. I'm still afraid to look at my t.v.
Blue Chipper Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 I was sitting there and every time the camera zoomed in on his face I thought- that man is on something. Does anyone remember seeing him play during the regular season? Just curious if he has graves or if he was just coked up.
Simon Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 The 1st drop didn't hurt them (Gaffney scored on the next play), but the quick out to the top of the field when nobody was covering him was certainly a game-turner. That play was going absolutely nowhere. Even if he had caught it he was going to be tackled immediately for about a 3-4yrd gain at most. Brady was slow to get the ball out there and when he did he pooched a floater that took forever just to get to Caldwell's knees. He shouldn't have dropped it but it was a minimal gain anyways. Oddly enough I thought one of the biggest deciding factors in the game happened in that exact same part of the field. It was another poor throw from Brady, but this time it was on 1st/10 with about 4-4:30 left in the game. He overthrew a wide open receiver (Gaffney?) stopping the clock and putting his team in 2nd/long in a tight part of the field. NE eventually settled for the FG which wasn't enough to hold off the Colt offense. If Brady makes a decent throw right there NE is looking at eitehr 2nd/short or 1st/goal with the clock still ticking away and the run option still a legitimate possibility to burn more time or convert another 1stdown. It was an absolutely huge miscue and one of the very very few times in the past 5-6 years that we've seen teh Patriots fail to execute late in a tight game. And for all the coke jokes re: Caldwell. 1) That's what he looks like all the time, not just when he's playing and 2) that is not what somebody on coke looks like.
truth on hold Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Photo from Caldwell's Rookie Card http://www.pleasedancewithme.com/PhotoMich...Thriller1Sm.jpg
In space no one can hear Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Well I have to ask- is the Caldwell or "Marty Feldman eyes" condition related to this condition in any way? This condition has recently been in the news. American Idol contestant/Bush Baby condition
Oneonta Buffalo Fan Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 One word says it all......DRUGS! He was hooked on some last night. No denying it.
cantankerous Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 LSI Cadets...shut the !@#$ up already. You are a moron and probably know nothing about any kind of drug. Reche Caldwell is just plain funny looking to me.

Matt in KC Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 I'm surprised Caldwell hasn't shown up as someone's avatar yet....

cåblelady Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 The guy just looked like his eyeballs were about to pop out of his head yesterday. Kinda weird.
daquixers_is_back Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 How far did the Patriots get with Branch last year? A lot of factors contributed to the Pats losing this game. Trading Branch was not one of them. Do you think Branch would have dropped either pass? LSI Cadets...shut the !@#$ up already. You are a moron and probably know nothing about any kind of drug.Reche Caldwell is just plain funny looking to me. Why are you always getting on people for what they choose to post? Why not just ignore them? I agree it was a dumb post, but there is no reason to get rude about it.
Hollywood Donahoe Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 Do you think Branch would have dropped either pass? Most receivers in the NFL would've caught both passes, including Reche Caldwell. It was a weird abberation. To use it as the sole reason the Patriots lost is absurd. They did so many things wrong in the second half, they would've figured a way to blow it even if Caldwell had caught that pass and taken it in for the TD.
jester43 Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 their defense crumbled...34 points should have been enough! tedy was invisible. what an embarrassment.
