Peace Bridge

Buffalo politicians drag their feet far too often, but can you really blame them for delaying a project that will only enhance the ability of illegals to flow over the border?

Good Point - they are already crowding the slopes in a weak ski season.

And this little tidbit gleaned from the article:

But Canada has resisted a Homeland Security Department demand to fingerprint those who approach the bridge but then decide not to cross.

"They're not giving an inch," Slaughter said of Homeland Security's position on fingerprinting.

I could just see it... "Gee sir, thanks for looking at our bridge... Now please step over there so you can be fingerprinted... Right index finger out, steady... Nice clean print now..."

Thank God there is a Canada... Well, I guess...

Sure sounds like a "city of BFLO" thing to me... Fed managers and big shots never cease to amaze me...

Canada: Have you ever committed a terrorist act, sir?

Man: Yes.

Canada: Have you committed a terrorist act in the past 12 months?

Man: No.

Canada: Do you have money to spend in Canada?

Man: Yes.

Canada: Welcome to Canada!

They are afraid they will be denied welfare benefits if we have their fingerprints. Why would they get to the bridge and then not cross? Obviously they are coming in trying to steal american jobs. If they were just looking for a dental appointment then they would cross.

Yeah, I know a canadian dental appointment. That's like a Jumbo Shrimp. :worthy::lol::lol:

:(

You think they ask that many questions at the Canadian Border?

I guess I don't get as many as a Canadian because when ever I am coming back over I usually get the old "Where are you from? Where have you been? How long? Anything to Declare? Have a nice day"

When I get to the American side, I usually get grilled after they scan my liscense, search the outside of my truck, ask to see the tickets I have to the Bills game/Sabres Game, and ask me if I am coming back over right after the game, then they look at me, my liscense and their screen for a couple minutes, give me back my liscencs and finally let me go through.

I know 2 people that work on the Canadian side, one is a wannabe "super-cop" border guy, the other tells me of his days working one hour in the booth, then playing nintendo, poker, or sleeping the rest of his shift, making $12-14 and hour, and now he'll make $27-30 working fulltime to do the same thing. Its a sweet job if you can get it.

Where else would you get to drink at 19, while at an all nude strip club after hitting the Casino?

Canada is just your quiet friendly neighbor to the North that gave you Hockey, and about half of the Sabres.
