PastaJoe Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 The Bledsoe/Henry era is over, time to go with McGahee and Losman when he's available and work for next season. At this point I don't think anyone would give up a 1st round pick for Henry, except maybe Dallas might give us back our own. If you go through every team, they either have a back playing as good as or better than Henry or have drafted a young back in the past two years and wouldn't waste a 1st round pick on Henry.

Why give up a top 5 pick for Henry?

Dude, let's not kid ourselves, unless you are talking about a 5th or 6th round pick.

stevestojan Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 A used rubber and half a chewed piece of gum.
nodnarb Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 At this point, Travis might not even BE traded. His trade value was at its highest before the season started. What has Travis done? Nothing. No touchdowns, a horrible YPC average, and one decent game versus the Pats. His trade value? NOt much right now.
John from Riverside Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 I know this sounds crazy....but I actually think that we should work out some sort of deal with Miami right now for a player and their 2nd round pick....which is going to be VERY high this year..... There is something up with Henry.....his decision making on his runs and the ability to keep his feet after the first hit is missing...I dont know why...... If we dont unload Henry while people still remember him as a 1K rusher......we might not be able to get a 3rd rounder for him.....

He is not worth a used condom. OK, I take it back....maybe a 5th or 6th if we can find a GM dumb enough. Are you watching Bro? He is losing us football games.

We'd have to find a sucker to get a low #2- high #3.
Guest Guest Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 A fifth round pick and a large pepperoni pizza.
Tux of Borg Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 Howcome you never see Travis Henry do the NFL/United Way commercials. Like the ones Ruben Brown use to do.... Oh wait, NM.
millbank Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 The trade deadline is a week this Tuesday. One has to hope Mr. Donahoe has been out there putting out feelers as to what they can get, sometimes its all timing a injury to a back on team thinking they can go places Travis may reap good value . Travis because of his low cap hit and still a few good years in him with a halfway decent line, should get a second round pick to a cap restricted needy team.
Like A Mofo Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 And remember some on here thought, even a Top 10 1st rounder WASNT enough for TH?? Unbelievable how some overrate their teams players.

The Tomcat Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 a low 2nd or 3rd rounder is about all we could get.... face it folks...."henry" type backs are a dime a dozen....I give him props for playing hurt last year but a 1200 yard rusher is easy to find..... he's an average to above average back.....

Obviously, that strategy wouldn't include trading future draft picks. Miami is best served to just wait for next year when Edge, who wants badly to play in Miami again, will be a FA. They can fire Pornstache, making him the scapegoat for '04, sign Edge, take a QB high, and they'll be much better off.

A secound round pick is the best the Bills could get. And they should take it. Now what could they get for an aging statue?
