is Officially the coolest thing I have ever seen (ok, maybe a bit of a exageration), but it was AWESOME. If you missed it, WATCH IT AT MIDNIGHT... the conversation between JP Losman and Willis McGahee was hilarious. Willis asked JP why he doesnt slide. JP explained he feels to uncoordinated and thinks he owuld hurt himself sliding... but the coversation is pretty funny.

I Tivod it, and I'll tell ya, I will watch it again.

And the best was at the end, Mularky and Bledsoe were talking about how this year is goona be slow, pounding, and focusing on the run BIG TIME.

ahh... i just watched the Losman/Willis conversation again, and RIGHT at the end, Haddad is sitting there and goes "you looked like Flutie out there" and JP immediatly says "SHUT UP!" ... haha

I saw that too - the Flutie comparison was awesome.

JP takes command of the huddle - natural born leader.

That was classic! Was it not?

I agree on the Show. Great idea by NFL Films, and great that they chose the Bills! I'll watch it again at midnight because I missed the 1st 10 minutes or so...

loved how JP took control and said "SHUT UP AND GET IN THE HUDDLE!" at one point... also, when JP made that awesome 15 yrd out throw, the cut to Shannahan and he said something like, "We have a football player on our hands, right here" I really like that.

Also, I liked how they had Ross Tucker miked, showed how the center has to call blocking assignments...

I loved how the Broncos coaches were chewing everyone out... and Shannahan was telling Plummer what he did wrong EVERY time...

GREAT STUFF!!!

This is the very best reason to get access to the NFL Network. The entire hour was like crack. I loved hearing Mularky saying "Just run it down their throats. Just run it, run it, run it." (I paraphrase a bit).

The Losman/Flutie scene was hysterical, and Mike G heard what I thought I heard; Losman telling everyone to "shut aup and get in the huddle."

It was cool watching Mularky tell something to Losman "two minutes" and watching him translate that to the OL. The bit with Bledsoe warming up in the beginning was great.

"You look young," Mularky told him. And then Drew went off on this story about how he and AVP used to drive to the games together, and came across the kids playing football in someone's front yard.

What a great, great viewing experience for the NFL fan.

I hope they do this all year.

Did you catch Drew speaking with Lynch when heading down the tunnel after the game......he was given Mularkey some mad props. Said he really liked him and Mulareky spoke to the team in "matter of fact" way....(very down to earth I guess). I really like the way MM carries himself - classy guy.

If only we had GW audio last year. I'd love to hear how that went.

Funny, every time they did a sound bite with MM, I thought the same thing.

I only have cable.  Are there any plans to have it on cable, like they did the actual game?

Or can anyone make a copy???

I would be willing to purchase it from someone who taped it. I don't have all the fancy spancy NFL stuff, but I do have a VCR! Does that count for anything? Seriously, I'd love to see it.

Thanks

I saw it. Awsome. I didn't "hear" some of it cause I was in a bar bsing. I heard most of it though.

The JP leadership thing.... It was MM telling him what to say. Did anyone catch that?

I learned some things about Mularkey in it that would have taken a while to otherwise pick up. One thing is it confirmed that he's pretty loose with the whole thing- not tight like we've seen in the past couple of years. He's a player's coach, hopefully not to the degree that it hurts his ability to direct. The 'run" segement made me smile as much as the "tell them not to let the defense see you sucking air"- it definitely highlights the psychological aspect of his approach.

It was nice of Randy Cross to remind me of why I didn't celebrate the "retirement" of Frank Gifford because as long as Cross and Joe Thiesman are on the air we'll be entertained with the obviosity of their gems like the Cross comment during this game of "Watts felt like he would have gotten more yards if he hadn't slipped and fallen down". Go Randy.

And one other thing- regardless of how you feel about his game Drew Bledsoe SOUNDS like a quarterback..

Posted

This should be mandatory viewing for all Bills fans. I learned more about the personalities on this team in one hour then I have in years of reading about them.

My impressions

Bledsoe- Sounds like you would expect a QB to sound, very intelligent guy, no nonsense attitude. He is not a very vocal ra ra type but he doesn't have to be. The players respect him so they listen to what he has to say. I also think he is the type of guy that is not easily rattled, he has that veterans calm about him in the huddle.

Mularkey- Players coach in every sense of the word, again not a ra ra type but just like Bledsoe the players respect him so they listen. His number one purpose seems to be giving this team the identity it lacked a year ago. Discussed the emphasis on the run game more then once. I got a good feeling after the show that Mularkey's goal is to mirror the Panthers of last season. Run the ball, play great D, and win close games.

Losman- You almost can't say enough about this kid, all the confidence in the world and the skill to back it up. He showed the leadership to take control of the huddle and the players responded. I don't think I'm being optimistic by saying he will be one of the leagues best in the future.

Team- I don't think this is a 8-8 season, from the talent we have and the promise Mularkey showed I think we will be a playoff team this year. Is this year the year for us? As everybody knows once you get in the playoffs anything can happen. What I do believe after watching this is once the curtain falls on the JP/Mularkey era we will finally have the championship we have been waiting for.
