DrDawkinstein Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 James Lofton!! it may be to "meet the quota" but it might be pretty serious?!?!? good luck James, couldnt happen to a nicer guy!
Bills Fan888 Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 I wouldn't want to coach the Raiders at all.
DrDawkinstein Posted January 16, 2007 Author Posted January 16, 2007 when compared to the rest of the league? no when compared to my current job? id take a crack at it!
MartyBall4Buffalo Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 It depends how you look at it. Coaching the raiders could kill any future opportunities that Lofton has. He's been the chargers wr coach for the past 4 years. I highly doubt it's a serious interview. Probably to get by the Rooney Rule
Albany,n.y. Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 Lofton will have to have coordinator experience before a team looks seriously at him for a head coaching job.
eSJayDee Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 He's an ex-Raider, too. Considering it's the Raiders, I doubt think it's to meet a minority quota at all but a very legitimate interest.
DrDawkinstein Posted January 16, 2007 Author Posted January 16, 2007 meh, im PRREEEEETTY sure its just to meet the quota. which is unfortunate.
Arkady Renko Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 I believe Herman Edwards was just a DB coach when the Jets hired him.
beerme1 Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 James Lofton!! good luck James, couldnt happen to a nicer guy! Don't do it James! You deserve a far better fate than that.
