OnTheRocks
Would A.J. consider hiring his old friend Marv Levy? Would he think Marv's personality is just what the Chargers need to get over the Schottenheimer playoff jinx hump? And if so, would Marv take it? Would he be contractually allowed to take it? I think there is little doubt he would consider it since he sounded eager for another shot at the sidelines last year.
duey
I don't think Marv is up to the rigors of coaching any more...that's why being GM is so great for him. He can run the show and not spend 20 hours at day at the office. BTW...have you forgotten who SD's DC is...? http://www.chargers.com/team/coaches/wade-phillips.htm
silvermike
Not gonna happen - Marv is a Bills guy, and Ralph gave him a hell of a chance. He's not going to turn his back on it now. Also, the fact that Marv couldn't get the HC job in Buffalo means it's pretty questionable if he'd get anywhere else.
Fan in San Diego
I think Marty may get the axe. Wade Phillips is the logical choice to be head coach.

You're probably right--but that would make no sense. Why hire a coach with a more cursed playoff resume (i.e., music city miracle)?

Have you seen who other teams ae interviewing as their new coach prospects? Pickins are slim. Marty is a good coach and will stay right where he is. Or he may let Marty's contract run out and then go after Bill Cowher in one year.

MartyBall4Buffalo
If Marty gets fired Malcom "Cam" Cameron would be the most logical choice to replace him.
