millbank Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 Whisenhunt hired by Cardinals Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator Ken Whisenhunt, one of the hottest candidates during the current NFL hiring cycle, has signed a four-year contract to become the new head coach of the Arizona Cardinals. Whisenhunt will be introduced as the successor to Dennis Green at a Tuesday news conference. Financial details of the contract -- which includes a team option for a fifth year -- were not yet available. Based on what the Cardinals have paid coaches in the past, Whisenhunt probably will earn an annual salary in the $2.5 million range.
apuszczalowski Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 WHAT????????????? I thought it was already announced as being Sherman Not bad, another offence co-ordinator from Pittsburgh going on to become a head coach, hopefully it works out better for the Cards (although it probably won't, we are talking about Arizona here, the place where not even God could coach a winning team
MadBuffaloDisease Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 Man Pgh will be a hurting unit for many years. First Cowher, now Whisenhunt. They could also end up losing Russ Grimm and Dick LeBeau if neither are promoted to HC.
