He's played well on special teams but at one time he looked like he was going to be a pretty good WR, does he have any chance of making a real contribution as WR for the Bills next year?

I hope not....dude looked terrible the few chances he got at the WR spot.....

The one play i remember most was the PA pass play were Davis had gotten past his man, who bit on the PA.....JP lofted the ball up to him...and he ended up tripping over himself, the ball sailing a few yards over his head.....

he is worth bringing back just for his ST play and to be maybe a 5th-6th receiver. They never really used him as a receiver this season

If Coy Wire can keep a spot just on his ST play, Davis shouldn't have a problem sticking

Andre Davis is exactly why you judge a player by how he plays, and not by his speed, height, weight, strength, etc.. The guy just lacks certain WR skills that people just assume must be there......like ball skills and route running ability. A lot of players like that end up in the defensive secondary, but Davis isn't physical enough to be a DB and doesn't have the quick change of direction ability. Perfect position: special teams. This kind of reminds me of the Anthony Hargrove thread. Athletic prowess is not the same as football skill.
