Beerball Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 Who knows if it's GW....but I'm not complaining. Can't believe that Bush got credit for doing something good.
Fan in San Diego Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 Currrently in the high 70's but overnight was 29 degrees. I saw ice around for the first time in a long long time.
inkman Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 A scientist I am not (I know you are shocked), but I don't think we can judge any climate changes by a snapshot of your local weather. While it was the warmest December in 130 years, if I were to assume that this was a direct correlation to Global warming, look out. That would indicate climate changes on an apocalyptic level and we might not make it to the year 2020. I think a more obvious correlation can be made with the irreguarity of the weather patters caused by global warming.
cantankerous Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 Yeah, when is it gonna get about 40 degrees? Isn't it strange that we were talking about having 100 degree weather here back in August? Yeah and now it's colder than a well digger's nose. Freezing rain this morning followed by snow then rain. I love Oregon.
Dr. Fong Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Well this weekend I went "snow" tubing in 70 degree weather at Massanutten ski resort, so I'm not really sure if anecdotal evidence is relevant to the debate.
meazza Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 It's -15 degrees celcius. Feels like -25 with the wind chill. I miss global warming
sweetbaboo Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 everything is covered in an inch layer thick of solid ice in NH...i might have to throw sand on my driveway now since salt didn't do a thing i might try ice skating on my lawn and driveway...it's that smooth and solid
