Most Heat fans went out of their way to blame him and/or attack him for everything. Sound familiar? In any event, I was a Heat season ticket holder at the time. I thought that he was a pretty good player and filled his role on the team (which was an expansion team at the time) pretty well. I enjoyed watching him and Sherman Douglas play in particular. My old firm represented him on something, and I had a chance to meet him a few times. He seemed like a pretty good guy.
