millbank Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 Coughlin gets another year Despite a disappointing 8-8 record and the team's uncertainty at general manager, head coach Tom Coughlin will return as the Giants' head coach next season. Coughlin, who had one year remaining on his original four-year contract, agreed to a one-year extension. One assistant coach acknowledged to ESPN.com's Len Pasquarelli on Tuesday night that the staff remains in the dark about its future.
silvermike Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 So that means that next year is a pure audition - doesn't sound like fun, and that's not a team that's heading up, what with no answers at QB, a retiring running back, a flighty WR, and an aging defensive corps.
MadBuffaloDisease Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 Johh Mara denied that players are at odds with Coughlin.
ganesh Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 Johh Mara denied that players are at odds with Coughlin. They are just odds with their 1 game OC KillDrive....
MartyBall4Buffalo Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 The giants need to learn how to build a team. They're redskins lite. They wont overpay for free agents but most of their team is other teams castoffs. Plaxico Burress, Kareem McKenzie, Will Demps, Lavar Arrington, Antonio Pierce, Fred Robbins, Sam Madison, RW Mcquaters, Jim Finn, Carlos Emmons. 10 out of 22 starters are free agent cast offs. There is no core of that team and no direction to go in.
