Pete Posted January 8, 2007 Author Posted January 8, 2007 I'm in a minority, especially being in Texas, but I hate avocados and guacamole. Thats some damn good mexican food down there. I hope you like Moles, Chilie Rellenos, Empanadas, Tamales, Huevos Rancheros, Negro Modela, etc! Man I need to make my Turkey Mole soon- that is fantastic(Its Rick Bayless' recipe)!

Man I need to make my Turkey Mole soon- that is fantastic(Its Rick Bayless' recipe)! Oh hell yeah there is. I love the mexican food around here. My roommate and I go to this place called Baby A's (acapulco) which has the best fajitas and flacas that I've ever had. They also have these purple margaritas which are freakin' awesome. 3 shots of 151 proof vodka and they taste like candy. I love em! Some of the other places are Chuys, Trudy's, El Patio, and others are great. Abuelos was great too before it became a chain, now they cut costs and the food stinks. I heard they were building one in Buffalo.

Tastes/smells like lawnmower-clipping puree to me. My wife loves the stuff. I'd rather eat a maple leaf. I do really enjoy steamed broccoli/brussel sprouts, though. Gotta be steamed, though. -Jeff
Fan in San Diego Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 avocado, cumin, cilantro, salt, and lime juice is my favorite snack in the world. Try it. I also have a salad everyday with avocado and put avocado on just about everything You have to try slices of avocado, pour a little olive oil and balsamic vinegar, sprinkle a little salt and voilà, an amazing snack.

MattyT Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 So... to avocados. Shoot. Looks like I've gotta switch back to White Castle.
