Lori Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 So, current vacancies are:Pittsburgh, Atlanta, Arizona, Miami. Likely/possible futures: Oakland, New York (N), Cleveland Am I missing any? Oh yeah, our favorite rumor-monger, PFT.com, has the Art Shell firing. Believe at your own risk: http://www.profootballtalk.com/rumormill.htm
Beerball Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 What part of "expected" to retire means "done deal"? Sometimes you have to interpret the true meaning of what a writer says. c o w e r w i l l r e t i r e I believe it is called reading between the lines.
bills_fan Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 No, it is still Jerry Sloan. 19 years and counting...... I forgot about him...my bad!
phxbacker Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 I think the O-coordinator in Pitt Ken Whisenhunt or Asst HeadCoach/OL coach Russ Grimm gets the Head Coach Job in Pitt now. Rooney didn't want to loose them to AZ,ATL or MIA. That's why He asked Bill to make a decision.
NavyBillsFan Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 I'll take that bet. They just signed Fox to a HUGE deal this past off season. John Fox is here for a couple more years. Money means nothing to a owner.... Ralph fired Greg Williams and it costed him a years pay of oh... 50 cents.....
The Poojer Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 define retired????? one year off does not a retirement make http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2720242

The Poojer Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 I would be careful with that bet...Navy said he'll end up in carolina next year...and thats all he said....the cowher family just bought and have been living in the raleigh area...which is in fact in carolina.... I'll take that bet Navy...
5 Wide Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 Neat story, I once Met Bill Cowher when I was fishing on the beach on Lake Ontario during the summer back in like 1993. I was 13 at the time and had just landed a decent lake trout. A guy and his wife were walking the beach and came over to see my fish. We talked for a couple minutes, said his name was Bill and he was on vacation from Pittsburgh. I thought he looked familiar, then I saw him on the news a couple weeks later and was like...wait a minute..that's where I know that guy from.
