He's gone. He has been using BS coachspeak to "deny" his interest, but if they're making a statement like that, the writing is on the wall or else they'd just come out and say he rejected the offer.

 

Here's to Wayne hiring TD as GM and naming MM as HC.

FACT OF THE DAY: January 2, 1966 -- Lou Saban, AFL Coach of the Year in 1964 and '65, resigned to accept the head coaching job at the University of Maryland.

 

Is that why he wanted to wait a day, so he wouldn't have the same quitting date as Lou?
