Remember when Danny Neaverth and the gang at Oldies 104 did the parody songs during the Bills' Super Bowl Years?

I heard "Red Rubber Ball" by the 1960's boy band, Crykle (http://www.sundazed.com/artists/cyrkle.html) last night and it triggered the memory of one of my all-time favorite parody songs.

To set the scene, on December 27th, 1992 the Bills lost the season finale 27-3 to the Houston Oliers in the Astrodome. This was the first time in five years the Bills were not Divsion champions but they did qualify as a wild card team. Lo and behold the Oilers would have to travel to Buffalo the following weekend for the wild card matchup. As things happen, this truned into a memorable game - but I like the song too:

Flashback to January 3, 1993

Sung to the tune of "Red Rubber Ball"

"We've should have known they'd do it the hard way,

We've got the Oilers once again and Houston's gonna pay.

This game will be different because it's here in Buffalo,

Oilers, you can't run and shoot here in the cold and snow"

Chrous:

"And I think we're going to blow them out

Yes, the Bills will get revenge

We're going to beat those Houston Oilers in Buffalo"

"We've never cared for Houston all along

They wear those sissy uniforms and sing that stupid song.

When they play here their defense will be leaking like a sieve,

A Buffalo Bills' style butt kicking is what we're gonna give."

Chorus

"Now last week's in the past and it's time to play football,

The Bills are getting serious and their backs are to the wall.

At Oldies 104 we know the Bills are gonna roll,

They'll beat the Oilers on their way to a third straight Super Bowl.

Chorus

I'd like to credit the writer/band but no information is given
