Fezmid Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 Hide and Seek on the street? Sounds like a pretty easy game if you're confined to the street. Street hockey and street football (tried some lacrosse, but that was really hard!)

I actually lived right on Abbott, not much "in the street" fun for me. Used to play hockey at friends' houses, though. -Jeff
Just Jack Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 None, our street was a 55mph state road, on a hill, so people would come flying over the crest of it.
ieatcrayonz Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 Sammy use to play "peg the band geek". The goal of the game is to see how many eggs you can nail the marching band with as they march down your street.
SDS Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 you hit all three. We never played in the street since we were country bumpkins, but those were the big three. Throw in some kickball too...
GoodBye Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 We were country bumpkins too. A couple we played... Cowboys and Indians Cops and Robbers
ExiledInIllinois Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 Street hockey "Running Bases"... Two of the street lights were the bases. Building snow forts on the parkways
Cugalabanza Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 I used to play a game called "Go play in traffic" that my parents taught me. I never really enjoyed it that much, but my parents always always seemed to get a big kick out of it.

tennesseeboy Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 twouch football. Used to cut in between cars to receive a pass, and try to impale the defender on the fins of the vehicle. Also had a rule that if you hit the telephone wire on a pass you got the play over. Had a kid who could actually hit the wire at will and got a lot of free plays that way.

ajzepp Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 I played wiffle ball baseball almost every damn day when I was a kid. We had our neighborhood game up to ten kids at one point. We used the wiffle balls that didn't have the openings in them....they were hard plastic and MAN could you ever go deep with those things. In HS we played tackle football just about every weekend...good times.
