 If the Patriots success shows anything, its that football IQ is meaningful. Prime example - Robert Royal. Talented tight end, no doubt, but a complete moron. Opening day loss to Pats centers around a dumb block in the back penalty on Royal. Today, again incredibly, he gets another block in the back penalty in the red zone; then on the VERY NEXT play cant keep his feet in bounds in the end zone, a play that any high school player makes routinely.

Love DJ and his staff, but his game clock management is a disaster. Why is this so hard to understand for a Bills coach? More than a one minute in the first half, willis runs the ball on second down and boom- time out by Bills; preserving just enough time for Titans to come back and score a TD. Why would you ever have called a timeout in that situation, unless you just dont get it in terms of clock management?

And we have had several games recently where he has chosen not to challege very close, critical plays in the FIRST half, only to go into halftime with all of his time outs left anyway. When your defense is shredded in a home game by the opponents running game, you need every thing to go right to win; including good game/clock management by your head coach. We did not get this today.

How about the decision to throw on the 3rd down and stop the clock ? Should have run the ball and drained the clock before kicking the FG.
