Simon Posted December 24, 2006 Posted December 24, 2006 Did anybody see Lindell's warm-ups and how he was kicking into that end? Was 45 at or beyond the edge of his range?

I am left wondering why we passed on 2nd, 3rd, and 4th down? I wonder if the 3rd and 4th down plays were intended to go that deep? Seems like shorter, higher percentage passes, would be better in that weather. Hard to say.

I really want to hear from somebody who saw Lindell warming up at that end.

Wind is wind but Ok. Maybe somebody else will answer your question.

stuckincincy Posted December 24, 2006 Posted December 24, 2006 All in all, a fine game by Lindell...5/5 fgs, 2/2 xps. He'll be in the running for ST'er of the Week.
MrLocke Posted December 24, 2006 Posted December 24, 2006 I just wanted to bump this thread up, since ppl returning from the game may not see it.
Dawgg Posted December 25, 2006 Posted December 25, 2006 Lindell was kicking in the opposite direction during pregame warmups. I meant his pregame and halftime warmups when the kicker and staff on the field will decide what the edge of a kickers range is. 876960[/snapback]
Just Jack Posted December 25, 2006 Posted December 25, 2006 Halftime he was kicking into the wind from about the 20-25, and making it. But the wind was slowing the ball down considerably, so it's doubtful he would have made it at the end, though I billieve they should have tried.
slickwillie Posted December 25, 2006 Posted December 25, 2006 I was able to see a bit of the warmups and watched Lindell kicking into the wind. If I remember correctly, he barely made one from 40 which I thought was pretty impressive considering the conditions. I think he tried one more from a bit further out and it barely reached the back of the endzone and was a bit to the right. Based on that and the apparent increased wind in the 4th quarter, I figured we would need to get the ball to at least the 20 yard line to even have a chance.
Dwight Drane Posted December 25, 2006 Posted December 25, 2006 With the wind he is good from 60....against it he is good from 35. Bironas JUST made a 42 yardr and that guy poped a 62 yard game winner a few weeks ago. As others have said, the disorganization on the last play is what hurts..not the decision to go for it.
