Dom Capers - Buffalo connection?

I was not aware that Dom Capers had a Buffalo connection.

 

Sadly, his mom died. According to the Miami Herald, she will be burried in Buffalo.

Ironic that the Defensive Coordinator's mother is buried in the same city where the Dolphin 2006 playoff hopes were buried.... (I know I crossed the line )
