ieatcrayonz Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 I vote for the USS Patrick Buchannon 873229 That would be one of the three worst Aircraft Carriers in US history. Jim-MAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
stuckincincy Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 It can tool around with the USS Jimmy Carter.. The big surprise is there isn't a USS Robert Byrd yet. It would have to be an Oiler, though..
ajzepp Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 That would be one of the three worst Aircraft Carriers in US history. Jim-MAY!!!!!!!!!!!! 873242 Pat is a hamster rights advocate, though....how can you say that?
Bungee Jumper Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 USS Gerald Ford! Help fix this injustice: www.cvn78.com 873226 Isn't the JFK retired already? If not, it should be retired by the time CVN78 is commissioned. What gets me is that, with the current vogue of naming carriers after presidents, they probably won't commission another Enterprise.
stuckincincy Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 "What gets me is that, with the current vogue of naming carriers after presidents..." 873260 I've never cared for that, myself. I understand the 1st SecDef Forrestal being so honored, though.
KD in CA Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 USS Edward Kennedy 873261 That's what they temporarily renamed the USS Intrepid when it got stuck in the mud.
MattyT Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 That's what they temporarily renamed the USS Intrepid when it got stuck in the mud. 873275 Maybe a submarine would be more appropriate for Teddy.
ajzepp Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 Maybe a submarine would be more appropriate for Teddy. 873278 I concur
smokinandjokin Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 USS Beast of the Mid-East That should spur some solid international relations.
stuckincincy Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 The USS Paris Hilton...submarine tender.
Bungee Jumper Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 I've never cared for that, myself. I understand the 1st SecDef Forrestal being so honored, though. 873267 And Nimitz. And even Reagan (I don't agree with it...but considering his 600-ship navy plan, I can understand it). But the USS George H.W. Bush?
Bungee Jumper Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 The USS Paris Hilton...submarine tender. 873306 Better an amphibious transport, though. Lots of Marines in her...

And, as I said, I have low expectations of there being another... 873316 Right now she's slated for decomming in 2013.
