Isn't the JFK retired already? If not, it should be retired by the time CVN78 is commissioned.

 

What gets me is that, with the current vogue of naming carriers after presidents, they probably won't commission another Enterprise.

I've never cared for that, myself. I understand the 1st SecDef Forrestal being so honored, though.

I know, but it's slated for decomissioning soon.  And, as I said, I have low expectations of there being another...

Right now she's slated for decomming in 2013. With the way these things slip to the right it could just as well be 2023.
