Mike32282 Posted August 22, 2004 Posted August 22, 2004 He's on a one-way ticket to the retirement home. He's done, finished.
Frez Posted August 22, 2004 Author Posted August 22, 2004 He can take Kieth McKenzie with him. :I starred in Brokeback Mountain:
Kelly the Dog Posted August 22, 2004 Posted August 22, 2004 He didnt play much but he did make one excellent play in the second half tackling the ball-carrier for a loss. I still think that he makes the team.
Frez Posted August 22, 2004 Author Posted August 22, 2004 I'd like to think the Buffalo Bills are holding back. Tell me they are..............right?
stuckincincy Posted August 22, 2004 Posted August 22, 2004 A cynical fellow might say he's yet another older player who made a big deal out of talking to the Bengals so he could leverage more $$$ out of TD. B)
Live&DieBillsFootball Posted August 22, 2004 Posted August 22, 2004 I think that he is a goner. We have 3 starters and a bunch of kids with potential backing them up. I don't think that Gildon brings enough. I also think that the Bills feel that Kelsay/Denney are going to be much improved over last year.

B) 3985 ...and who is the other(s)? If Gildon can't hack it, it costs the Bills just $100K against the cap. However even at his salary, he's good depth.
JoeF Posted August 22, 2004 Posted August 22, 2004 Signing bonus was $100K --- not much on the line if he is cut. He is due another $100K or so if he is on the opening day roster....I think it might be based on if we can get one of the Schobel, Williams or Jennings deals done and need to trade Gildon's salary ($750K in cap room) to move a Rookie FA or Draftees base salary into the salaries that count against the cap.

MadBuffaloDisease Posted August 22, 2004 Posted August 22, 2004 Troy Vincent. 4080 You forgot Sam Adams.
stuckincincy Posted August 22, 2004 Posted August 22, 2004 You forgot Sam Adams. 4085 Sam worked out (so far). I HOPE the Bills braintrust don't have their peepers on Daryl Gardner.
JAMIEBUF12 Posted August 23, 2004 Posted August 23, 2004 i'd be more worried about where are you lee evans.i dont even think the bills are using gildon a whole lot yet.i am sure by the season opener gildon will have a more clearly defined role. go bills in'04
DanInSouthBuffalo Posted August 23, 2004 Posted August 23, 2004 Every analyst I have heard says Gildon won't make the team. He can't play linebacker anymore and he has been ineffective at DE. I think the nadwriting is on the wall when a player doesn't even play much in pre-season (another example: Antonio Brown.) I'm wondering if there will actually be some cuts on Monday or Tuesday.
sharp Posted August 23, 2004 Posted August 23, 2004 he did give that exercise bike one hell of a ride last night. watch out lance armstrong!
