justnzane Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 Ok so i saw that there are 21 offensive players, 17 defensive players, and 4 specialists. This accounts for 42 players, and i know that the punter gets his long snapper so Mike Schneck will be number 43. So why don't they build a roster that resembles the breakdown of a normal roster of 53? It seems very unfair to have less roster spots for the all-star game than the actual season. No other all star game follows such a formula, so it would only make sense to add 10 more spots maybe 1 WR, TE, T,G, DE, DT, LB , SS, and 2 CB. This would also allow for the use of other packages beside a 4-3 base on defense, and allow for 3-4 wide offensive formations. any input?
Bills Fan888 Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 It would be to many players and It's only one game.

justnzane Posted December 20, 2006 Author Posted December 20, 2006 Pro Bowl stat line, a la Victor Allatoy: ____ _____, LB (inactive) 873190[/snapback] well my whole rationale is that you would have everybody play, each of the 53, and no one player plays the whole game like Lo neal being the only FB so he has to play the whole game. This reduces the opportunity of injury as no player should really be winded by the end of the game.
Sketch Soland Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 when tony romo can make the pro bowl as a QB the system has too many spots available. there was only one NFC QB pro bowl worthy this year and we all know who that is
