Navy Chief Navy Pride Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 My preseason prediction said this team would go 6-10 and be lucky to get it. Well, they have outdone me and I couldn't be happier about it. I never expected 7-7 and still breathing when it comes to the playoffs. While we do have some glaring needs still I see the progress of what this team is becoming and am looking forward to a bright future with our young core of stars. What were your predictions before the season began?
The Senator Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 19 and 0 baby! (OK, I was a bit overly optimistic. But next year, I really mean it - 19 and 0 baby!!!)
MadBuffaloDisease Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 I figured they couldn't be any worse than last year and saw a 1-2 game improvement. I didn't expect they'd be flirting with a .500 or above finish and am ecstatic with how things have gone.
2020 Our Year For Sure Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 6 or 7 wins. Glad to see them poised to top that.
The Poojer Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 I went with 18 or 19-0...but i do that every year and will continue to do so My preseason prediction said this team would go 6-10 and be lucky to get it. Swift Sylvan Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 I said 10-6, I could quite possibly be just one game off
Realist Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 I said 6-10, so I'm very pleased to see them where they are now.
Ozymandius Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 2 wins. As you can imagine, I am thrilled. Let it be known that I was much more optimistic than most people during the bye, though. I thought we would win 3-5 more games. But to have a shot at winning 7 more is crazy.
smokinandjokin Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 5-11 was my prediction. A time may come soon in the dogschit NFL where 5-11 has you on the cusp of playoff contention.
agilen Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 I said 8-8 would be a successful season, 7-9 was more likely. I hope I'm wrong on both counts
stuckincincy Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 I think I picked the Bills at 5 -11. 2 and 14 in LABills dinner contest, hoping to be a lone winner (loser ). The local B'gals at 8 and 8 for sure.
plenzmd1 Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 9-7 Thought they would sweep both the Jets and the Dolphins. other wins I had Jax Green Bay Minnesota Texans Titans Thought Detroit would be better, Jets worse than what they are. Just knew Culpepper sucked and that run they had late last year was earily similiar to ours the year before.
Matt in KC Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 I said 7-9. Here are some of the old TSW threads, for anyone interested in lookin back. I didn't see a poll to get a quick aggregate view of what everyone here thought, but I remember most people around 5-8 wins. Season prediction time 2006 Prediction, Wins & Losses + a couple reasons Bills 11-5 This Year! My prediction: Bills will catch fire after the bye, you read it here first Bills' insider Sal Moiarana reports that the Bills, at BEST will win 5 games, maybe less. Bills 11-5 This Year!
Albany,n.y. Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 Right on track, I had us 9-7. However, if you look up the rest of my picks, posted here before the season started, you can also find the 12-4 Dolphins, 1-15 Titans, 8-8 Chargers, 13-3 Panthers & 3-13 Saints.
rockpile Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 On May 15, I printed out the schedule and picked the games. I had them finishing 6-10. I am delighted they have exceeded my expectations!
RuntheDamnBall Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 In LABillz' contest, probably the toughest time to pick, I said 9-7. I'd be extremely happy if I turn out to be right. I was pretty far off in predicting how how we'd get there, though. I chose most of the wins incorrectly, falsely hoping for victories over SD & New England, and forecasting a win in Detroit, which might be the one that keeps us out of the playoffs. I did know that we'd sweep the Fish, though!
Rico Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 3-13 after the draft, 6-10 before Week 1. Congrats to the Bills for a GREAT year so far, here's to it getting even better!
Bungee Jumper Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 I said somewhere between 0-16 and 16-0. So far I'm wrong...but with two games left, I'm hopeful...
Dan Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 I thought 9-7. So, we're still within reach. However, all my predictions come with a +/- of 1 game, so I'm feely pretty clairvoyant. I must admit though, at the buy I thought there was no way we'd make 9-7. So, I'm greatly impressed with the late season progress. I must also admit that my 9-7 call was an optimisitic one, I would have been (and still would be) happy with a 7-9 finish. At 9-7, I had no thoughts of an extended season. So that possibilty is just making these last few weeks incredible. (still can't say the p word for fear of jinx)
